POWELL CATTLE

Healthy Land, Healthy Livestock, Healthy Living

We believe the best cow is the one suited for its environment.  Since 1975, our family has pursued a vision for our operation that treats our land, our livestock, our neighbors, and our customers well.  For the last 25 years, that has meant shaping a genetic mix designed to thrive on grass in the rolling hills of northern Missouri.

You won't find any of our herd in the record books - and we're okay with that. We believe that raising quality livestock counts for more than having the largest bull at the sale, so we put in the effort to craft a herd that flourishes with minimal outside inputs. You will also find that our cattle are well trained for low-stress handling, creating a better environment for animal and human alike.

Whether you're an experienced marketer wanting to find a high-quality, low-input animal to finish; an aspiring rancher looking for inspiration and tips; or a consumer searching for the best way to prepare a delicious grass-fed dinner, you've come to the right place. If you have any questions, give us a call, send us an email, or just drop by: we'd love to hear from you!
